CAPO 2010 Grants Now Open

Closing 22 October 2010

The Capital Arts Patrons Organisation (CAPO) 2010 round of grants is now open.

CAPO is a volunteer non-profit organisation that has supported the ACT region's artists for 27 years. Since establishment in 1983, CAPO has disbursed over 1.7 million dollars as arts fellowships and grants with support from the Canberra arts and business communities.

Grant applications are invited from artists and arts organisations from Canberra and the region.
CAPO grants support all art forms and mediums. Past grant winners include performing artists and
companies, visual artists and arts organisations, contemporary craft artists, designer makers,
filmmakers, new media artists and writers.

CAPO seeks to foster the highest standards of excellence in the arts whether the individual or
organisation seeking support is of professional or amateur standing. Innovative endeavours that
contribute to cultural development in Canberra are encouraged. Grants will be made to fund those
needs in the region, which will have the most significant cultural impact in the local community.

Applicants should note that CAPO Grants awarded in 2010 will depend on available funds. The 2010 grant round is now open and applications must be received by close of business Friday 22 October. For application forms, guidelines and more information about CAPO grants go the
CAPO GRANT APPLICATIONS menu at www.capo.org.au or phone Marilyn Gray at the CAPO
office on 6249 7860 for further information.
