Wesfarmers Arts Indigenous Fellowship program

The National Gallery of Australia warmly invite Indigenous Australians to apply for the Indigenous Arts Leadership program in 2011 and to be part of building the future of the Australian arts sector.

The National Gallery of Australia and Wesfarmers are delighted that the Wesfarmers Arts Indigenous Fellowship program, the first of its kind, has been established for Indigenous Australians with the goal to increase Indigenous leadership within the visual arts sector.

It consists of two programs:

• Indigenous Arts Leadership program
  a short-term program with an industry focus. Ten candidates will be selected annually to participate in the Leadership program.

• Wesfarmers Arts Indigenous Fellowship 
  a professional project-based program for long-term development, networking, exchange and mentorship. Two Fellowships will be awarded every two years. PLEASE NOTE this program is not on offer in 2011.
